As my title states - I have ZERO regrets. I bought the R with the RF 24-105 f4 IS lens and a the Canon Control Ring Mount Adapter for my EF-L lens lineup. The RF 24-105 that I got with my R is the quickest focusing, tack sharp lenses I have ever owned. The IS gives me at least 3 stops to play with in low light. In my tests I can easily shoot 1

I bought an R with the RF 24-105 L about 3 years ago, and I added the 24-105 RF STM a year ago for ease of carrying. The RF L lens is clearly the best, as it should be, given the price. But there's very little in it between the STM and the EF L - optical performance is remarkably similar - weakest at 24mm, otherwise pretty decent. Having f/2.8 in stead of f/4.0 at typical portrait focal lengths is huge. It is, and having 105mm instead of 70mm is also a godsend - at least for my needs. If I had the 24-70/2.8 + 70-200/2.8 combo I would indeed still plan on upgrading to the 24-105/2.8 even though there would be overlap, as it would still save on lens changes and/or body swaps. . 208 266 174 378 275 180 210 165
