Bandais kits are highly detailed, snap fit kits, though I've heard mixed things about the star destroyer. Some have claimed fit problems. Revell makes or distributes several star destroyers, from a very simple "build and play" version, to Zvezda's huge one, to possibly importing Bandai's version as a European distributor. You should check.

Whichbrings us to Revell of Germany. Many model websites actually separate Revell into 'Revell and 'Revell of Germany'. RoG are mostly excellent and easy to build, and cheap. A quick list of good kits is the P-47D, P-51B, Spitfire V, Messerschmitt 109G-10, Fw190A-8, Me262, Hurricane II. Sheis safely waiting in my stash of models yet to be built. pbryan, once again, you are off to a great start. When you do get to rigging, definitely use wax and then use a candle to melt the wax into the thread, there are so many youtube videos, I would recommend watching some. The rigging plans from Revell are pretty good, study them

AVDModels (amazing price for Russian kits, not so easy to find though) Revell (the instructions are a little too detailed maybe, but it's super beginner friendly and I loved that) Modelcollect (amazing quality for the price) Zvezda (good, happy with it) Ace (utter trash, will probably never buy again) . 255 148 322 163 88 340 461 234
