Škoda Octavia. Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013) Darkside EGR Delete. There have been a lot of threads recently complaining of diesel engines that 'hiccup' or seem to have poor throttle response. I have been considering for some time doing an EGR delete, as on a 160K engine it was only a matter of time before it started to give me grief.
Replacing the EGR cooler on a Jetta IV PD TDI (BEW engine). [Should be the same for a Golf with the BEW engine] First, you'll need some GOOD tools. I used the following (plus a few I won't remember): - 3/8" ratchet, straight - 3/8" ratchet, curved - 3/8" ratchet, stubby - 1/4" ratchet, straight - various sockets (10mm and 12mm deep, IIRC)
